Democrats feel pressured to authorize Modoc casino deal - 2003-03-12
Ulster County legislators will vote Thursday to renew an agreement with the Modoc Tribe of Oklahoma, which wants to establish a casino in the south of Ulster County.

Some minority Democrats in the Legislature say they believe they're being pressured into voting in favor of the three-year renewal, which foes say would put $15 million a year in the county's coffers if the tribe was successful in locating a casino in the community of Wawarsing.

Seneca Niagara Casino entertains tourism representatives - 2003-03-12
Seneca Niagara Casino claimed that 200 tourism representatives from the Cleveland region saw the gambling complex recently as part of a familiarization tour.

Lakefront Lines of Cleveland, the biggest privately owned motor coach company of Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky sponsored the group, the largest Seneca Niagara Casino has introduced in its first two-plus months of operation.
