Assembly vote on compacts bill likely today - 2003-03-12
A Senate committee marked their ballots collectively Tuesday. The end result was an approved bill that would give legislators the final say over gaming deals between the governor and American Indian tribes that last over 15 years or extend gambling to off-reservation sites.

The Assembly is planning to vote today on its version of the bill, which the Assembly Committee on State Affairs defended Monday after a three-hour public hearing. The Senate is expected to vote on the bill Thursday.
