Assembly says ok to deal - 2003-03-13
The state Assembly aproved a bill Wednesday night that would let the state Legislature have absolute ruling over tribal gaming compacts that undergo longer than 15 years or expand gambling to sites off the reservation.
The Assembly voted 59-38 to support the bill. It now goes to the state Senate, which is expected to take it up today.
