Vegas betting ring related to casino employees - 2003-03-13
Two Atlantic City casino workers were in a group of 10 individuals named in indictments Tuesday alleging they controlled an illegal sports gambling operation.

Prosecutors allege the group of possessing links to the Luchese crime family in New York City and was responsible for passing thousands of dollars in proceeds.

Oklahoma gives go-ahead on bill calling for lottery vote - 2003-03-13
The Oklahoma House reversed its decision on Tuesday and passed legislation voted down a week ago that asks voters to choose whether to create a statewide lottery to lend a hand in funding public education.

Henry stated he has agreed to modifications that will be proposed in the Senate to solidify language, establishing a minimum portion of lottery revenue that will be allocated towards education, and prevent minors from having access to lottery tickets.
