Doctors insist casinos tempt gamblers - 2003-03-14
Problem gamblers have serious problems with casinos. There an obvious temptation and should do away with ATM machines and loans on casino floors, a top prevention expert advise.

Tom Gullotta, CEO of the Child and Family Agency of Southeastern Connecticut and a professor of psychology at Eastern Connecticut State University, made his public remarks at the state's debut problem gambling prevention symposium Thursday at Wesleyan University.

Sebelius pushes for slots at tracks and casinos in Dodge City - 2003-03-14
Gambling promoters have agreed to compensate the state $30 million in the next fiscal year if plans are given the greenlight for slot machines at racetracks and a casino in Dodge City, an aide to Gov. Kathleen Sebelius stated Thursday.

The proposed payment and range of details of Sebelius' preferred plan for expansion of legal gambling were publicly relayed for the Senate Federal and State Affairs Committee by Matt All, the governor's chief counsel.
