Religious groups stumble on tricky question on lottery scholarships - 2003-03-18

Casino operator, regulators compromising to deal with charges - 2003-03-18
Horseshoe Entertainment Inc. is bargaining with state casino officials in an effort to settle charges of traditional business practices and get a complete renewal of its riverboat license in Bossier City.

"There are discussions, but there is no settlement at this point," insisted Hillary Crain, chairman of the Louisiana Gaming Control Board. "I think they are a lot further along than they were even two weeks ago."
