Casino ruling provokes DNR to cut back - 2003-03-20
Iowa park operations and water quality management are preparing for cuts if the state proceeds to lose funds from a tax dispute with racetrack casinos.

"We're going to have to shut off funding for some of the things that were approved last year, when it comes to environmental programs, water-quality initiatives, soil conservation," reported House Majority Leader Chuck Gipp, a Decorah Republican.
