Food-service backing casino industry, tax on businesses - 2003-03-21
The union speaking for roughly 50,000 Strip and downtown maids, bellmen and food-service workers petitioned its support Thursday for a broad-based tax on business.

The largest Culinary ally on the issue is the casino trade, which backs Gov. Kenny Guinn's request for a gross-receipts tax as part of a solution to the state's fiscal crisis.
