Le Reve makes comfortable bid on Wynns unique opportunity - 2003-03-21
The revolutionary $6.4 billion purchase of Mirage Resorts Inc. to MGM Grand Inc. in June 2000 was a "mixed blessing" that offered Las Vegas casino entrepreneur Steve Wynn an opportunity to construct another megaresort, Le Reve, states Wynn's wife, Elaine.

In what she deemed as a $2.6 billion resort and one of the biggest single building projects in the nation to date, Le Reve -- French for "The Dream" -- a 45-story, 514-foot glass tower at the northeast corner of Sands Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard.

New Jersey authorizes dates reduction for Monmouth, the Meadowlands - 2003-03-21
The New Jersey Racing Commission approved a request from the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority and the state's Thoroughbred Horseman's Association on Wednesday that reduced the total of live Thoroughbred dates this year at Monmouth Park and the Meadowlands to 120.

The laws, which steer all casino and racetrack simulcasting in the state, were expected to perish next month.
