Gunman fails in attempted robbery of casino - 2003-03-22
The Coahoma County Sheriff's Department is probing an attempted robbery at the Isle of Capri Casino early this morning.
Around 5:15 a.m., a man approached a cashier with a small-caliber handgun and demanded two sacks of money, according to Sheriff Andrew Thompson Jr.
Thompson stated that investigators were "comparing notes" with the Tunica County Sheriff's Department to show whether this morning's incident may be linked to a robbery at Fitzgerald's Casino in Robinsonville early Wednesday.
