NCAA pushes for Internet casino ban - 2003-03-24
The US National Collegiate Athletic Association pushed senators Tuesday to pass legislation aimed towards cutting off the cash supply to online casinos.

Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., stated Internet gambling pleas to underage and compulsive gamblers, evade state laws on gambling and is “a logical medium for laundering money.”
