US Anti-gambling team annoyed by DOJ - 2003-03-24
The war to ban online gambling in the US has been a stop-start deal, in spite of the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) explicit opinion that the business is illegal.
Now, the anti-gambling lobby has criticized the DOJ for delaying the legislation process that would make online gambling illegal.

NCAA encourages online casino banning - 2003-03-24
The US National Collegiate Athletic Association urged for senators Tuesday to approve legislation aimed at cutting off the money supply to Internet casinos.

Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., stated Internet gambling entices teenage and compulsive gamblers, circumvents state laws on gambling and is “a logical medium for laundering money.”
