Legislation for Butte casino complex introduced - 2003-03-24
The measure that would create a special entertainment and music zone in Butte with the option of wide-open gambling in 10 casinos was introduced in the House on Thursday.

They are touting a $1.8 billion Butte construction project with 10 huge casinos and 40 musical theaters comparable to the ones in Branson, Mo.

House committee introduces bill for casino by one vote - 2003-03-24
Through a single vote, a Minnesota House Committee on Monday initiated a bill to establish a state-operated casino at the Canterbury Park racetrack in Shakopee.

But the committee action Monday was great news for supporters of the proposal to place the Minnesota Lottery and the racetrack into competition with the state’s Indian tribes in casino gaming.
