NCAA pushes for Internet casino ban - 2003-03-24
The US National Collegiate Athletic Association pushed senators Tuesday to initiate legislation aimed at cutting off the money supply to online casinos.

Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., stated Internet gambling pleas to underage and obsessive gamblers, avoid state laws on gambling and is “a logical medium for laundering money.”
