Wendovers take water fight to federal court - 2003-06-10
A lawsuit concerning water sales in twin towns occupying the Utah-Nevada border has moved from state court to federal court.
Wendover, Utah, alleges that West Wendover, Nev., officials threatened to revoke the Stateline's liquor license if the casino didn't use Nevada water.

Elected officials on both sides of the state boundary refuse to discuss the particulars of the case, which has been assigned to federal Judge Ted Stewart.

Trio held in robbery attempt - 2003-06-10
Two men and a woman who are suspected of attempting to rob and kidnap a Ledyard man in Preston Sunday were held on bond following a court appearance Monday.

Police said a struggle ensued amongst the three men before a friend of Sealy released two large dogs and chased the suspects back into their cars, when they fled the scene.
The two were later arrested at Foxwoods Resort Casino, along with Soncherie Silvan, 39.
