As California's flush Indian tribes get ready to confront an initiative aimed for the November ballot that might end their monopoly on casino gambling, some insiders are pushing for restraint.

With casino revenues of an estimated $6 billion a year, tribes have become a top political player in California, spending over $135 million on campaigns and candidates in the last six years.
