Landmark Horseshoe casino in Vegas shuts down - 2004-01-12
A landmark hotel-casino was closed indefinitely this weekend following the shut down of the casino floor and seizure of an estimated $500,000 to pay for unpaid employee benefits.
The front doors were locked Saturday and yellow police tape welcomed visitors to Binion's Horseshoe Hotel & Casino, a downtown Las Vegas fixture for 52 years and site of the wildly popular World Series of Poker.
