BetonSports.com wants to give consumers a say - 2004-01-14
Internet wagering company, BetonSports.com officially launched today a petition and letter writing initiative for online gambling supporters to back Internet-based wagering.
Available on the company's web site, these attempts are the recent elements in BetonSports.com's "Right to Wager" campaign that offers consumers an chance to voice their views regarding regulatory efforts to abolish online gambling, including sports betting and casino games.

Harrah's will purchase home of popular poker tournament - 2004-01-14
Harrah's Entertainment has agreed to purchase a landmark Las Vegas hotel-casino and maintain its famous poker tournament.

But it isn't certain where the cards will be dealt.

Binion's Horseshoe Hotel and Casino was closed Saturday by federal agents who took roughly half (m) million dollars to pay the benefits of union hotel employees.
