Mayors attempt to save Crestwood casino agreement - 2004-01-14
In a desperate effort to save Crestwood's casino plan, a handful of south suburban mayors are meeting with Metropolitan Water Reclamation District officials to bargain a last-minute property lease.
The water district manages the land along the banks of the Calumet Sag Channel in Crestwood where a casino would be built.
On Thursday, Crestwood Mayor Chester Stranczek is to meet with water district executives to discuss a lease.
