Casino problems emerge for Deloitte - 2004-01-15
Deloitte's problems could well become greater in the next few weeks when the Accountant's Joint Disciplinary Scheme sends its report into the firm's audit of casino group Capital Corporation in the mid to late nineties.

The court order was dropped by new proprietor Stanley Leisure shortly after it bought the group, which owned high-rolling London casino Crockfords, in 1999 for a reduced price of £86m.

City officials posed pointed questions and learned a few things about the company expected to take control today of Bangor Historic Track Inc., which runs Bangor Raceway.

Based in Wyomissing, Pa., Penn National owns several horse racing tracks, casinos and off-track betting facilities in the United States and Canada. Penn National Race Course and Pocono Downs in Pennsylvania are some of its featured holding. It owns casinos in Colorado, Louisiana and Mississippi.
