Casino authority cuts entertainment grant - 2004-01-15
For the last few summers, the Atlantic City Boardwalk has included a series of free concerts - jazz at Chicken Bone Beach and folk/alternative international music at Kennedy Plaza.

The concerts were overwhelmed with people - locals and visitors, adults and children - creating a mood on the Boardwalk that was independent of the casinos and that many mused had missing for a long time.

Sky City discusses purchase of MGM's Darwin casino - 2004-01-15
New Zealand's Sky City Entertainment is in talks to acquire MGM Mirage's casino in Darwin because government guidelines mean it cannot construct or expand its three New Zealand casinos.

The Darwin casino, with 29 gaming tables, 450 poker machines, a 107-room hotel and four restaurants, might be a value of as much as $210 million, Sean Monaghan, a gaming analyst at ABN Amro in Sydney, stated in a report.
