Just when everything from jobs to automakers' market share appears to be shrinking, Detroit's casino revenues are increasing, a consistent bright spot on southeast Michigan's economic horizon.

The casinos have done better than trade professionals forecasted when the first one opened in 1999, and in the past five years, they've reaped an eye-popping $4.2 billion.

John Brackenbury Appointed To Board of Directors of Isle of Capri Casinos - 2004-01-15
Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. revealed today the election of John Brackenbury, C.B.E., of London, England, to its board of directors.

Brackenbury joins the company's board as it maintains its expansion into the United Kingdom as the first U.S. company to have received authorization to own a casino in that country.
