Casino firms prepared to gamble on beach properties - 2004-01-16
The Granite City could emerge as Scotland's gambling capital.
Three applications have been designed to create casinos at Aberdeen Beach.
The move could see the city acquire a total of seven casinos - and becoming the Vegas of the north. Planning authorization has already been given to new casinos on Shiprow and at Langstane Kirk on Union Street - while the International Casino on Queen's Road the Gala Casino on Summer Street are long established.
