Carson Pirie Scott shuts down Waukegan business - 2004-01-17
Milwaukee-based Carson Pirie Scott & Co. Inc. has shut down a store in Waukegan, Ill., to open the door for a new development that could feature a casino.

The Carson Pirie Scott store has been in the Lakehurst Mall for over 30 years, according to a Chicago Tribune report. The site is being cleared for a new development that may cost over $200 million and feature a Harrah's casino.

Reno Is A Trendy Spot For Asians - 2004-01-17
A national travel association poll has found that the Reno district is the eighth most popular location for Asian-American visitors.

Las Vegas is No. 1.
Paul Byi, director of Asian gaming at the Silver Legacy Casino Resort in downtown Reno and a Chinese-American, explained that catering to the Asian community has been paying off since the resort first debuted in 1995.
