Suit filed regarding casino contract debate - 2004-01-17
A subsidiary of Equitex (Nasdaq: EQTX) has filed suit regarding having a contract annul to supply cash access services to the Seminole Tribe of Florida casinos.

Equitex stated earlier this month that its Chex Services subsidiary had been given a termination memo from Native American Cash Systems (NACS) for its contract offering cash access services at five Seminole casino properties.

Sebelius keeps casino opinion under raps - 2004-01-17
Gov. Kathleen Sebelius refused Friday to confirm that she will recommend the state open a casino in Wyandotte County.

Sebelius' chief counsel, Matt All, informed a Senate committee earlier in the week that the governor would soon present a recommendation for a huge, state-owned casino in western Wyandotte County.
