Downs' casino will be established as 2nd largest - 2004-01-17
Plains Township could be the location of one of the biggest slot machine parlors in Pennsylvania if state lawmakers approve a much-anticipated bill to expand gambling at the Downs at Pocono and as many as 13 other facilities.

The township has offered its last approval for the proposed casino, according to township zoning officer Richard Piekutowski. But, without the green light from Harrisburg, nothing can begin.

Juneau To See More Casino Talk - 2004-01-17
Once again, the word is spreading among lawmakers in Juneau to establish a large casino in Anchorage.

Poker champ and furrier Perry Green is taking credit for the concept. He wants the casino built at the site of the former Alaska Seafood International plant. Green feels it would generate $15 million for state government.
