Arcade operators receive probation for illegal machines - 2004-01-17
Five people who operated casino-like adult arcades pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges Friday following the judges rule that their arcade machines are illegal.

Over 400 machines and more than $50,000 in proceeds were taken when law enforcement raided arcades in Deltona, South Daytona, Edgewater and Ormond Beach in November as part of a crackdown on casinolike arcades, which have become big in Florida.

Geyserville fire district confirm $336,000 agreement - 2004-01-17
The Geyserville Fire Protection District will receive $336,000 a year for emergency services under an agreement with the tribal operators of the River Rock Casino, officials stated on Friday.

This is the first pact between a local government agency and the Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians since the casino launched 15 months ago.
