Super Celebration - 2004-01-18
Celebrating one day of football has turned into a major social affair at St. Michael Church Hall, where they've been rejoicing over the Super Bowl for 15 years.

St. Michael's parishioner Rob Guetzloff has been arranging the event from the commencement. The sold-out Las Vegas-style party for 450 people included an all-you-can-eat buffet, open bar and gambling -- featuring blackjack tables, tip boards and a cash prize raffle.

Casino supporters do some major spending - 2004-01-18
The group rallying in support of a casino at the DeJope bingo hall was granted $935,000 from the Ho- Chunk Nation and spent $244,360 on direct mail pieces, advertising and opinion research, as reported by its state campaign finance report.

An election on Feb. 17 will ask Dane County voters whether they approve adding such games as craps and blackjack to the offerings at DeJope, which is located off the Interstate in southeast Madison.
