Gaming firm launches new casino promotions - 2004-01-19
SCA Gaming, a branch of Dallas-based SCA Promotions, recently revealed the first in a series of MegaPromo casino promotions including giant, flashy games with cash prizes up to $1 million. The program was revealed Jan. 14 at the Western Indian Gaming Conference, held at the Palm Springs Convention Center.
SCA customizes the promotions for its casino clients, who pay a tiny fixed fee based on the size of the prize, total of contestants and promotion period.

Vegas Cabby Wins World Record Jackpot Of $3.2 Million at Golden Nugget - 2004-01-19
Saying that winning $3.2 million was made even better because he won it downtown, Las Vegas cab driver Robert Baker arrogantly boasted his huge ceremonial check to tourists on Fremont Street Sunday evening following his win of the jackpot on an Elvira(R), Mistress of the Dark(TM) Video Slots machine at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino.

The jackpot was the largest ever hit on a nickel slot machine and is a new world record for the denomination.
