Two additional employees arrested in casino scam - 2004-01-22
Authorities on Wednesday arrested two more Casino Rouge workers suspected in a scheme to rip off the Baton Rouge casino's slot machine venture.

They are amid a group of 14 Casino Rouge staff members arrested in the scheme and at least three more arrests are pending, State Police spokesman Lt. William Davis reported.

Peoria Tribe to launch new casino - 2004-01-22
The Peoria Tribe of Oklahoma in conjunction with the city of Miami are betting on casino-style gambling to pay off in additional tourism for the region.

The Peoria Tribe, which owns the property, will open a small, temporary gambling venture on the property Thursday. The tribe intends for a $6 million casino and entertainment venue to be ready for business on the site sometime in August.
