City afraid of defeat in OTB's game plan - 2004-01-23
If Capital OTB lands a state license to have video lottery terminals at its Central Avenue tele-theater, Albany officials are seeking a say in the matter -- and, maybe even, a piece of the action.
With Gov. George Pataki's budget proposal on Tuesday to approve eight more casinos to generate funds for education, Capital OTB officials quickly said they would be open to bidding on licenses to put the video slot machines at the tele-theater and at the Friar Tuck Inn in the communtiy of Catskill.
