Gambling bills insisting millions will be made - 2004-01-23
Minnesota legislators listened to testimony Thursday about four casino proposals that their sponsors insist would generate hundreds of millions to provide college scholarships, build sports stadiums, enhance the lives of Indians on two impoverished reservations or pay for almost any other state priority.

The proposals discussed Thursday were in addition to legislation passed by the House last year to let the lottery operate a state-owned casino at Canterbury Park race track.

You could soon own a part of the Lake Area's latest casino resort!

Pinnacle Entertainment has revealed it will give 8 million shares of common stock. The intended offering price will be $11.31 per share. Some of the money collected will be used for the construction of the company's Lake Charles casino resort.
Construction crews are always working to launch the resort.
