Second court discards lawsuit to stop casino - 2004-01-24
Perhaps the third attempt will be the charm.

A second Oregon court threw out a lawsuit to stop the Three Rivers Casino on Friday, arguing that People Against a Casino Town filed an inappropriate petition.

The state is going to have to answer the question of why the governor violated the constitution in approving the casino.

Internet gambling growth labeled threat to Nevada - 2004-01-24
Delays in dealing effectively with the burgeoning increase of online gaming is compounding the competitive and regulatory complications it poses for Las Vegas, industry experts stated this week.

University of Nevada, Las Vegas professor and casino industry professional Bill Thompson said the Internet gaming business is too large to stop "without being Draconian," and he believes it will expand overseas because of the polices of the U.S. government.
