Casino Declines MP Entry After Cruise - 2004-01-24
Labor MP Peter Black affirmed that he had been rejected from the Star City casino following a five-hour harbour cruise with shire councillors.

He reported that the cruise was one of the social elements of the annual meeting of the Local Government and Shires Association which was presented in mid-2003 at the Pyrmont casino.

Casinos require rivals - 2004-01-24
I have the perfect solution to the state's budget problem. We could have state-owned and managed casinos. Why should Indians get a monopoly on casino-style gaming in the state of California?

I have issued a letter to the governor asking that he consider this. It would also get the government off the backs of the Indian tribes for additional tax money.
