Ho-Chunk Casino Presents New Range Of Card Games - 2004-01-25
Millions in gambling profits fly into the Ho-Chunk Nation through the slots of hundreds of glitzy gambling machines.

The flagship Ho-Chunk Casino now presents craps, roulette, poker and a range of card games.
The casino and attached hotel and convention center boast 1,614 staff members full-time and 69 workers part time.

Casinos Re-launch Bargains With State - 2004-01-25
With the state budget deficit estimated at $15 billion dollars, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is expecting to tap into Indian gaming profits to buttress the state's coffers.

While Indian casinos do not need to disclose their annual income, their take is estimated at $5 billion annually. Ex-Governor Gray Davis made overtures to reach a deal with the tribes but his work fell short following failed negotiations over proposed contributions from tribes, lowering an initial target of a $1.5 billion to $680 million without success.
