Minnesotans support casino to assist state budget - 2004-01-27
Six out of 10 Minnesotans favor launching a casino in the Twin Cities region to help balance the state budget, according to a Star Tribune Minnesota Poll.
Roughly half of those polled strongly defend the idea, the poll published Tuesday showed.
Several casino proposals will be heard next month when the Legislature convenes. Under the various plans, gambling money from a metro-area casino would go toward sports stadiums to scholarships.
