Connecticut casinos looks at other states - 2004-01-28
Connecticut's two giant Indian casinos are currently looking to bankroll other Native American gaming projects across New England and the country in a distinct move to expand beyond their Nutmeg State base.

The $1.5 billion Foxwoods Resort Casino deliberating to offer financial and management support to a pair of Maine tribes eyeing plans for a "racino" after a state-wide vote approved slot machines at Maine racetracks.

Pennsylvania Gov. Makers New Slot Sell - 2004-01-28
In an attempt to jump-start his delayed program of property tax relief, Gov. Ed Rendell proposed new legislation to authorize slot machines in 12 venues in Pennsylvania -- eight racetracks and four nontrack sites, one in Pittsburgh, two in Philadelphia and one yet to be determined by a new gaming board.

"Rendell said his proposal doesn't include a casino run by an Indian tribe."
