Five-star hotel on board for Kings Dock - 2004-01-28
Liverpool could receive its first five-star hotel if planners agree to permit a casino to be established as part of the Kings Dock redevelopment plan.

One contender for the site is the Hilton Group, who manage a chain of international hotels and also own gambling and casino chain Ladbrokes.

A source close to the city council last night revealed that the Hilton was one of the hotel chains seeking to relocate to Liverpool.
