Bill would ban online gambling - 2004-01-29
Legislation written by Rep. Jerry Denbo, D-French Lick, would ban gambling over the Internet.

House Bill 1172, proposed Monday in the House Public Policy, Ethics and Veterans Committee, details strict provisions regarding online gambling.

Denbo — who was the main legislative force behind the law that will permit casinos to function in Orange County — said Indiana’s own lottery, casinos and other gaming venues are losing money because many people gamble online at home.

Today, the Culinary Workers Union Local 226 informed the entertainment industry on both coasts regarding the rising labor dispute at the Aladdin Resort & Casino, soon-to-be Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino Las Vegas.
