Casino plan thoughtless - 2004-01-03
The proposal to construct an Indian casino east of Denver International Airport should be prevented before it even gets off the ground.
Contrary to proponents' claims, the plan has nothing to do with thoughtful, ongoing efforts to honor victims of the Sand Creek Massacre. Moreover, it's clear that Colorado voters don't want more gambling in this state, as just last fall they overwhelmingly rejected another gaming proposal.
