Biloxi casino breaks ground for planned hotel tower - 2004-01-07
Building of a new hotel tower at Biloxi's Isle of Capri Casino started Tuesday when a crane removed a section of a parking ramp.

The ramp is being removed, because the parking deck north of the hotel will be turned into the base of the tower, the second at the casino complex.

The new tower represents the second phase of the Isle's $80 million expansion.

Alliance Gaming acquires British video-gaming company - 2004-01-07
Alliance Gaming Corp. Wednesday said it acquired British game-machine company Crown Gaming from Crown Entertainment Ltd., growing its operations in England in anticipation of liberalized gambling regulations.

Las Vegas-based Alliance said the acquisition of Crown, Britain's largest distributor of gaming machines, includes distribution agreements for automated table gambling games and video bingo machines along with existing maintenance agreements with casinos.
