Court decides against casino opponents - 2004-01-07
A Superior Court judge has ruled against an environmental challenge to a planned Indian casino within close proximity to Shingle Springs, paving the way for construction to begin as soon as the middle of this year.
The court held that the environmental review of a proposed Highway 50 interchange was adequate, according to a news release from Lakes Entertainment Inc., which is under contract to build and operate the proposed casino.
