Gambling Foe talks at Wisconsin Meeting - 2004-01-08
As reported by the Madison,Wisconsin Capital Times: "Regarding casinos as the 'crack cocaine' of gambling, the head of a national anti-gambling organization appealed to a packed meeting room of casino opponents to work as hard as they can the next 43 days to keep a full-blown gambling hall out of Madison.

"'Women say it's electric morphine," explained the Rev. Tom Grey, executive director of the Washington, D.C.-based National Coalition Against Legalized Gambling.

State watchdog agency sues Bustamante concerning Indian gambling cash - 2004-01-08
A state commission sued Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante on Wednesday, citing the recall election candidate took in $3.8 million more than state campaign finance laws permitted.

Bustamante already has been ordered by a judge to return money -- which came from Indian tribes' gambling profit, one of the Democrat's biggest supporters -- that exceeded state limits on contributions.
