Gamblers targeted by child support proposition - 2004-01-09
Parents who owe child support were unable to win big at Indiana's casinos and horse tracks without making payments for their children first, under a bill being contemplated by the state Senate.
Senate Bill 143 would need riverboat casinos, betting parlors and horse-racing tracks to verify the name of any person who wins over $2,000 against a national database of child support scofflaws.
