Former FBI appointed Nevada public safety director - 2004-01-09
Gov. Kenny Guinn on Thursday appointed a former FBI agent and casino executive as Nevada’s new public safety director.

A former supervisory agent, Togliatti, 57, spent over 23 years with the FBI. He arranged organized crime and drug units in Las Vegas and served as the white-collar crime director.

Central La. may be location for casino - 2004-01-09
Unless Gov.-elect Kathleen Blanco has a change of heart regarding reservation casino close to Shreveport-Bossier City, the Jena Band of Choctaws will forward its efforts at having a gambling hall to its home parishes of Grant and LaSalle, the tribe’s chief stated.

Foster had been comprimising with the tribe for a casino in Logansport, which would contend with state-taxed casinos in Shreveport-Bossier City.
