Tribal members ecstatic over proposed casino - 2004-01-09
If ultimately authorized, the off-reservation casino that the Menominee Tribe is proposing in Kenosha would offer perks that are easily calculated by its advocates.

"It would change the life of our people," insists Tribal Legislator Lisa Waukau, adding that the profits from such a casino would put the Menominee among the leading earning tribes in the state.

Wynn uges for casino at National Harbor - 2004-01-09
The Ehrlich administration has stated that casinos are no longer negotiable. And some Prince George's officials have contested legalizing slot machines in Prince George's County.

Nevertheless, U.S. Rep. Albert R. Wynn (D-Dist. 4) of Mitchellville is moving forward with his pitch for a complete casino at the National Harbor complex near Oxon Hill. He met privately this week with a group of Prince George's County delegates.
