R.I Bill Would Design Gaming Control Panel - 2004-02-10
Existing video-slot operations and any casinos constructed in Rhode Island would be regulated by a paid executive commission and a "gaming enforcement" division of the attorney general's office, under a bill proposed by Attorney General Patrick C. Lynch.
The current Harrah's casino bid calls for casino management by the state Lottery Commission. Lynch, in an interview, stated "it's understandable that if they propose a casino, they want to propose how it's regulated."
