Tribe and Plymouth Fight Over New Casino Project - 2004-02-10
A landless Indian tribe in Amador County has been seaching for a home, and it found one in the small community of Plymouth. It may not be a problem with the exception of the Ione Band of Miwok Indians who want to contruct a very large casino there.

Many people in Plymouth don't want a casino in their community. "The location is inappropriate," insists Elida Malick, a member of the Plymouth Planning Commission. "If people want to gamble, they're entitled to gamble. It's a question of where this facility is going to be put."

Coast Casinos Partners With Boyd Gaming - 2004-02-10
A billion dollar partnership is in progress here in Southern Nevada. Boyd Gaming is buying Coast Casinos. It will make the company the biggest "locals" gaming company.

Gaming veterans like Anthony Curtis say the partnership between Boyd Gaming and Coast Casinos can only mean good news for residents. In Las Vegas, the company will now feature 11 hotel-casinos with over 9,000 rooms.
