MGM Mirage declines close end to Macau deal with Stanley Ho - 2004-02-11
MGM Mirage officials declined Tuesday that they were close to finalizing an agreement with Macau mogul Stanley Ho to design a new casino in the former Portuguese enclave.

The newspaper declared that negotiations had been conducted only by Ho's daughter, Pansy. Stanley Ho is the chairman of Shun Tak, which would operate the casino, the newspaper reported.

Australian hotel-casino purchased for $150 million - 2004-02-11
MGM Mirage has agreed to sell its Australian hotel-casino for an estimated $150 million to the SKYCITY Entertainment Group, the Las Vegas-based gambling company publicized late Tuesday.

The resort is on 18 acres of beach-front land in the port city of Darwin, in northern Australia. It includes 450 slot machines and 26 gambling tables.

The Australian casino is the second property the gambling giant has unveiled in under a year. MGM Mirage sold the Golden Nugget land in Laughlin and downtown Las Vegas for $215 million in June.
