UK small caps open stronger on the back of agreements, results - 2004-02-11
Small-cap shares debuted firmer on the back of the Gaming Corp deal with Bartercard and positive results, dealers stated.
The FTSE Small-Cap index was 0.2 up at 2,628.5 by 8.52 am, bucking the easier trend in blue-chip issues.
In the partnership, Gaming Corp will supply Bartercard with its own branded casino site, with 24/7 multi-lingual support, so its members and card
holders can wager online using Trade Pounds, which are another option to cash that permit businesses to trade their own goods and services.
